As population continues to rise and the demand for food exponentially increases, different methods of increase crop yield are required by any means. This lead to the development of DI-SPOTTER, an AI-powered crop disease detection software designed to operate on drones to scan crop field and identify section of infection.

Our focus is on providing farmers with the tools needed to identify infected crops and prevent further infection to any surrounding plants. This will help reduce the millions of pounds of produced lost every year and help increase overall crop yield.

Software Revolution Aiding an Agricultural Crisis

Wish the intense changes in our environment due to human factors, the world climate as begun to change radically causing significant difficulty to grow crops in certain regions of the world. With the continual increase in population, this requires an innovative approach to help increase the total yield of crops in varying environments.

Although there is a new challenge, new opportunities equally arise. DI-Spotter is uses an AI framework to process imaging from a drone to identify disease ridden crops and provided farmers with the location to help them prevent any widespread infections. Given ~20% to 40% of crops are lost every year to crop infections, addressing the root problem before it becomes to severe would greatly increase product production and provide people with the means to access more food.

As it becomes harder to grow crops in intense climates and the demand for food increases,  DI-Spotter will provide aid to those who continue to keep the world feed.
